Student Council
The Student Council at WCPE is highly active and plays a vital role in the functioning of the institution. From the very first session, a comprehensive framework of student associations and councils has been established, ensuring meaningful participation in various decision-making bodies. Students are involved in key areas such as Academics, Cultural Activities, and Grievances, allowing them to contribute to the academic environment and enhance the overall student experience.
Additionally, they take part in Library Management, Research initiatives, and the organization of Picnics and Tours, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among peers. The council also oversees important administrative tasks, including the Development and Maintenance Committee, which ensures the upkeep of college facilities, and the Maintenance of the Register of Proceedings and the College Activities Diary.
Student representatives play an essential role in the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Placement Cell, and Sports Committee, where they provide valuable insights and suggestions. Their involvement extends to Publicity and Public Relations, Discipline, and the management of the College Website, further ensuring that student perspectives are reflected in college communications.
Moreover, the Student Council actively engages with initiatives such as E-Governance, the Green Club, and the Electoral Literacy Club, promoting sustainability and civic awareness among students. They also contribute to the Internal Complaint Cell, Energy Conservation Cell, Waste Management Cell, and the College Magazine Committee, highlighting their commitment to creating a positive and inclusive college environment. This extensive participation ensures that student voices are heard and valued in all aspects of college life, fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility within the WCPE community.
